Alright, I found this girl's (woman, she is 29, i dont know why i always call everyone a girl even when were all not anymore..) blog last night and I pretty much read the whole thing. It was fucking hilarious. It is called "one d at a time" as in one dick. She is a sort of a feminist I guess (although not an armpit hair, man hating one), in that she doesn't like the double standard, i.e. how guys can fuck a million people, not remember their names etc, but if a girl gets laid alot she's a slut. (She even gave herself the moniker of "slut machine" as a joke, and I guess it stuck..) I mean, I agree with this. Living in south florida I've witnessed this scenario many times. Once I was called a slut for making out with someone. Come on now. That is retarded. Anyway, I've never though of myself as a slut, I don't sleep around with a million people. The only time in my life where I got anywhere close to doing things in that way was for a short while when I was single. If you all know me I haven't been single very long ever, save for this one time, and I don't feel bad about it.. But I'm sure we have all made some good or bad decisions before, depending how you look at it..Anyway, I think everyone could relate to the whole double standard thing. Girls do this to guys too. They will call some guy an asshole if he has banged a lot of chicks. Personally, I don't care that much, I mean I'd rather be with someone experienced than with a virgin. Why have crappy sex? Bad sex is probably on my top 5 list of things that are horrible. I don't care who you are or what your beliefs are, but if you have sex, im sure you've had some bad sex and we can all agree that shit sucks..If you find someone who you are emotionally connected with and the sex is awesome then you are golden...Basically I don't care how many people my boyfriend has been with, so long as while he is with me he doesn't do anything with anyone else. I'm extremely monogamous and thats just how I feel about it. I know people who don't care either way, but I think if you're with someone for the long haul, its probably not a good thing to be sleeping with other people. That situation could get sticky...in more ways than one..LOL!! Plus, im retardedly loyal and im not gonna change that about myself.. Okay anyway, her blog (onedatatime.typepad.com) is pretty funny, and brutally honest, sometimes gross, sometimes maybe too candid, definitely NSFW...it kinda makes me wish i could write really candidly about things sometimes, not just sex but anything really. I'm the type of person that is usually worried about offending someone that I know...I wouldn't want people to get mad at what I wrote or anything...but maybe sometimes I should write more openly, it might be funny. Or people might hate me, but there's people that hate me anyway, i'm sure.....

The first time I went to the Morikami Japanese Gardens was a few years ago. I knew this French foreign exchange student named Mica, and he wanted to go there. So, I took him to check out the garden so we could hang out and it also helped since he barely spoke any English. The language barrier really was difficult at times, but most of the time we both understood each other. He told me about how it costs a lot of money to get your license in Europe and how the test is very hard, and you have to do some really long reverse on a windy road, and how the car you take the test with is a stick shift. This was all very interesting to me since the test to get your license in Florida is a joke. Mine took about 5 minutes tops, and I didn't even have to parallel park.

I'm getting off topic..Anyway, when we were there I was REALLY sick. I was freezing cold, most likely had a high temperature and there were a few times where I felt like I was going to pass out. It really wasn't that fun. It also hindered my ability to enjoy how beautiful everything was.

Fast forward about 3 or 4 years later and I finally go there again. I had wanted to take Ryan on a nice little date. Something fun and relaxing that was outside. I picked Morikami. I thought it would be cool, and he had never been there before. We got in for the student price and walked around a lot. The weather outside was almost perfect. It got semi-hot at times, but it was mostly breezy, so it didn't matter. I bought this 50 cent bag of fish food to feed to the koi, which was the highlight for me. I'm simple..Anyway, walking around the gardens was very peaceful and relaxing. It was pretty much a perfect day. We had been out the night before, so walking around outside and getting some fresh air made us both feel a bit better. My only disappointment is that we didn't get to check out the Cafe. Food Network, or Travel named it one of the best museum restaurants. Next time we go we will have to check it out for sure.

This week we are getting ready for a holiday party that we are throwing at our house on Saturday. I'm pretty excited for it. It will basically be our first party at our apartment..Can't wait!!

It's raining out. The rain has not stopped for hours, and I have been listening to Leonard Cohen all day. The album "songs of love and hate" is so beautiful. The lyrics are haunting and its so sad, and pretty. It is the perfect album for a rainy day.

We went to Morikami this past weekend, it was fun..

this picture is not fully showing up the way it should. i dont know why..oh well! half of it is alright too i guess.

All the koi there are HUGE. It felt peaceful. I'll put the rest of the pics later. They aren't the best since they're from my digital camera. My 35mm that I love so much has a dead battery..so til I get a new one, no cool pictures...and it still has our trip to Sanibel on it!

The rest of my weekend was extremely social..art show and birthday party on saturday...it was just what I needed to feel a bit better. I can't wait to get more creative again.

I haven't posted anything here in a bit. I'm gonna go ahead and blame it on unemployment and the general blah-ness I've felt for the past week. But hey, I didn't post anything for a week before that either, so what the hell.

Tomorrow is thanksgiving and were going to my grandparents house in west palm. Ryan and I already had an early Thanksgiving at his house this past weekend, but were probably gonna stop by his parents place again on Friday so he can eat some apple pie. I don't even remember what we did last Thanksgiving. I think we went to his place then my parents house in Delray. I don't remember it too well though, so hopefully this years Thanksgiving will be more memorable. In all honesty, I'm not even that excited. I wish I was, and who knows, maybe I will wake up tomorrow and I'll be super stoked.

I am excited for our Christmas party. We want to have our close friends over on Christmas day..Our apartment has a fireplace, so you can bet that will be going, and there will be hot alcoholic drinks, and pies, and green bean casseroles and christmas sweaters!!! I'm so excited to decorate our place. Hopefully we can do that this weekend..That is when you're supposed to start decorating right??

I love California..seriously. I love it more than any other state I have been in. My very best friend ever lives in Santa Monica, along with some other high school friends. It is my dream to move out there as soon as I possibly can..But until then I have been thinking for so long about taking a trip out there. I haven't seen my best friend Phil in like two years. Seriously. It's been beyond way too long. Anyway, we were talking tonight, and he said if I came out there I could stay with him and his girlfriend Anita, and that he would even help me pay for my ticket..Which if I go on his birthday, which is in January...it would be soo cheap. So, Im about 99 percent sure I am gonna go. I desperately need a vacation. I need to see my best friend. Its just that simple.

I love being outside. I love nature, and adventures, birds, fish, bodies of water, mountains, you name it..if it is outside..i love it. Now that we are nearly moved into our apartment I want to go on as many outdoor adventures as possible. Ryan got his bike back from the shop, and once I put some more air in my tires we will be ready to go for a nice bike ride. Were lucky because our apartment is right next to this park and we have all sorts of fun places to ride our bikes. Once I get used to my new bike I want to go to Markham Park and go on some trails, and try not to hurt myself too bad.

The weather is so beautiful though. Makes me sad to be at work when I could be outside playing!

I cannot wait. I am so excited for all of the adventures, inside and outside our new place. I have this amazing feeling like a weight is being lifted off my shoulders. I am so excited to come home to a place that actually feels like home.

Also, the drunk review of troll 2 is still in waiting. I have to remember to get drunk and watch that again..Will do soon though, I promise.

Stitch Rock and Spaghetti

Max which he LOVED! I also got this really cool hot green plaque with a kitty cat dressed up like a mermaid drinking a martini...I'll post pics of that stuff later..

We had a great time. I'd love to make stuff to sell next year. Maybe I will get better at jewelry making and I can have my own booth...hmm..

We walked around Delray and found this gem. An odd mannequin sprawled on one of the benches...

Afterwards we stopped by Backbone and I picked up a Pat Cooper record to hang in our new kitchen....I am so excited about moving. I can't believe that in two weeks we will be moving in. This is something we have been wanting to do for a long time..I can't wait for all the adventures!

Stitch Rock

This upcoming Saturday, October 4th, is Stitch Rock. (www.rockthestitch.com). It is an indie, diy, etc. arts and crafts fair. I am so stoked for this. I didn't get to go last year. Ryan went and loved it. It starts at 12pm and goes 'til 6pm. The admission price is $3.00 and children under 12 get in free. Hope to see some of you there!

True Blood

There is this show on HBO that I am super into. It is called True Blood..It takes place in, where else, Louisiana, and vampires are now out in the open and everyone knows about them. The show started off sort of slow at first, you know intros and all, but it is starting to get pretty interesting. I think it's definitely something worth checking out.

I have to say though, their intro for the show is amazing. This is the kinda editing I am into, and this is stuff I would love to do one day...check it out.

It seems like lately there is no place fun to go at night in Florida. Whatever happened to Revolver, that was such a fun night. I have nothing but good memories from there..Like getting drunk and dancing to some awesome 80s jams. Everyone dressed up and actually gave a shit. Now there are no options. And the nights that do happen regularly, are dwindling, and generally aren't that fun because there is usually too much drama mixed in. Maybe its my fault for not having fun, but is it so hard to ask for a place to go out and have a good time? A place that actually plays good music and not the same shit over and over again. A place where people actually want to dance....is it so hard...really? I am so bored! And this week was a long week, all I want to do is go out and have a good time, but it seems like such a chore to even find a place to go to...And if I do find a place, finding people to go with me is even harder. come on everyone, its the goddamn weekend. Can we please do something fun?! I am beyond bored with sitting and doing nothing..I sit all goddamn week at work, on the weekend I want to be adventurous and do crazy things. I feel so responsible lately, I have to let off all of my built up energy somehow....Is there no hope? I need to go on a vacation and move out of Florida. I think I am so done with things here...We are going to the keys (i hope) next weekend, and I hope that it helps me deal with the lack of fun I am having in Fort Lauderdale..I hope it will satisfy me long enough til I can go to california..

So while house-sitting Ry had the best idea to make these super jammin burritos..Seriously, hands down, best burritos of my whole life. He grilled chicken with some awesome seasoning mix and i made guacamole and pico de gallo, rice and refried beans..We then broiled cheese onto the tortilla, filled it with the rice, beans, chicken, some sweet peppers he grilled, a few slices of avocado, then rolled it up and put it in the oven, so the cheese would be like a glue and seal the whole thing shut. It was fantastic.

Max wanted burritos too!

I love flight of the conchords, so I made this desktop in honor of it. It makes me laugh, it should make you laugh too.

I decided that I should quit my second job, in pursuit of a better one, that is stable and pays better. Even if it doesn't pay better the stability will more than make up for it.

My 23rd birthday is in two months, almost exactly. I want to have a party or do something more memorable. I can't believe how old I am. I forget since everyone thinks im 18 since I look so young..Oh well...Birthday time should be awesome!

Today after work Ryan and I decided to go for a bike ride to the park across the street from where he lives. We've been bikeriding here before, but today it was so much more fun. I think it is just what we need to balance the stresses of everything else.

I'd love to get a bike. For now, I've been using his brothers which works out well, but I think having one of my own would be awesome. Ryan's bike is all crazy and stuff cause he goes on those crazy bike trails (like the ones with the logs that you ride across) so he has really good shocks that can be changed and the tires are filled up differently than most bike tires. I have to admit it's pretty cool. I don't need anything fancy like that, just a normal bike, maybe with a few gears and the pedals that go backwards as well as forward..nothing extreme..

Anyway, the second purpose to riding through the park was to see if the water park area was open yet, and it is. While we were over there, there were all these suspicious signs. One saying "park closed" to an area that was just some winding roads. We ventured over there, but not much happened. Just some woods on the left side and a neighborhood behind a fence on the right. There is a cute little house in the park too. I'm thinking the ranger must live there. We went further down the road passed another "closed" sign to a fenced area that said "No Trespassing" and "No Firearms". Apparently this site is blocked off on either end and no one is allowed in it. Also there are 'hazardous site'signs everywhere. I am sure something odd is going on there. Ryan has been all detective like lately so I'm sure he will figure out whats going on.

Then on the way home we stopped at the little kids section and played on the swings, which ruled! When we got home we went swimming and Max didn't want to come near us cause he hates water. I had such a fun day!

I still feel pretty sick, but doing all that active stuff really made me feel alot better. I am so much happier when I get to play around outside...seriously!

alright, I have to work at both jobs tomorrow, so time to sleep!

Every night, falling asleep gets more and more difficult. Right now I am really tired, my eyes are watering and they hurt, maybe cause i feel sick, but mostly because I am tired and I cannot sleep. I wish I didn't have to spend an hour trying to fall asleep. I'd probably feel a lot better in the morning.

I started drawing more today. At first everything I drew didn't come out right, then I stopped trying so hard and it was better. I'd really rather be painting.

I don't even know why I'm writing in here, this was pointless. Goodnight.

Today we ventured into the wonderland that is Swedish furniture. I totally got a sweet floor lamp for 7 dollars, which was much needed since my fan lamp has a mind of its own and never wants to work correctly. I'm pretty happy with the new lamp, plus it took a whole two minutes to put together..Not too bad..

Ryan LOVES Ikea, despite the picture. He needed to get a desk and chair for all of his electronic stuff so he can start working again and making more guitar pedals and more music and who knows what else, probably some crazy robotic contraption. Who knows what he will make. I am sure with a nice organized space the possibilities will be endless.

That's my new lamp in action. It's kinda difficult to take a picture of a lamp, plus my room is a mess, but you get the idea.

I can't wait to move out. Buying furniture was kinda fun..Also, if gas raises up to ten dollars a gallon I think I am gonna move to a city and get a bike.

Today was the first day of my new job. It's interesting. I kind of don't know what they want me to be doing, it seems unclear. Hopefully next week it will clear up more. Pretty soon, as in next week I will only have one day a week off. It's probably gonna suck, but if I can do that for a while and have the money to pay my bills and afford to move out everything will be quite alright :)

My goal is to move out before I turn 23, which is August 19th..and after the best dinner ever I decided that my birthday party should be catered by fala pita because they have the best damn falafel of my life.

So for christmas, my parents bought me this cute little lomography camera:

Everyone thinks its an underwater camera, cause its blue and all, but I promise you it isn't, and I'd probably be really mad if someone put it underwater..

I used it recently on our trip to Sanibel Island, but those pictures have yet to be developed..Here are some from a bike ride to the nature center a few months ago..

I'd really like to go camping again. Last time we went was in November, and it was nice because the weather wasn't too hot. I'm thinking that going anytime soon would be a bad idea, which sucks 'cause it was so much fun, and we all know how much I love being outdoors. I would definitely not do the hiking thing again (5.5 miles to the campsite and back). It was definitely an adventure though! There's just something about being in the middle of the woods, with no outside human contact that is just so peaceful and relaxing..This was the best camping trip I've been to thus far and I'm sure it won't be the last.

I really want to see this documentary!!!!!!

Watching this video makes me want to drink lots of vodka and play guitar and dance around on dirty streets...

I love this band. I saw them for the first time about two or three years ago and I loved them instantly.. They are so crazy and out there, and most of the songs are in a few different languages (russian, ukrainian, romany, spanish, italian and then in this awesome gypsy language)..ahhhh motherland!

I bet its awesome though, I wonder if it's on dvd or something, definitely gotta check that out....

I think I'm gonna get a passport this month, and the first place I want to go out of the country is on a tour through eastern europe.. especially Russia <3, but not in the winter, I can't deal with that much cold!

I started drawing up some ideas of things to sew today, and I'm going to draw some stuff for a screen printing design..I also have to scan in some stuff, but my WONDERFUL printer does not let me use the scan option without having ink in the printer, and considering I haven't had ink for almost a year, it might be a while....

No one really played any April Fool's jokes on me. A few people tried, but it didn't work. Oh well. I realized that I lost my sketchbook. I've been drawing on scraps of paper and in small books. I need to add that to my list of art supplies too. Maybe soon, I'll start to play the lottery, and then I will win and move to California, Portland or Massachusetts and have a house that is close to the woods but not too far from a city, and I will paint things all day, and jump on trampolines and bake cookies and cakes. Woooo.. Goodnight!
